Cinema Express magazine had published a review of MGR movie Malai Kallan. The review is one page and it contains the story and important aspects of the movie.
The movie is based on the novel titled Malai Kallan written by Namakal Ramalingam. The movie was produced in six languages, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada and Singala (Sinhala). The review praises the acting talent of our beloved Leader Puratchi Thalaivar MGR, the disguises he used in the movie and also the stunts. The review also mentions the acting prowess of MGR’s brother M.G.Chakrapani, in the movie he lived as the Inspector. The movie Malai Kallan is the first Tamil film to receive the National award.
